The Opportunity
  
The Customer Delivery Manager plays a crucial role in managing the transport and distribution logistics for King Living products, ensuring their efficient and timely delivery. This role is key to providing outstanding customer service, significantly contributing to the company's growth and success. Furthermore, the manager will oversee the daily operations of the Delivery team, guaranteeing compliance with service level agreements and fostering ongoing enhancements in our transport and delivery systems.
  
This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to advance within the company, playing a key role in the enhancement of our transport operations through innovative strategies and systems.

Responsibilities 

  • Manager and enhance the planning and routing of all King Living deliveries to ensure efficiency and punctuality.
  • Actively contribute to the overhaul and improvement of King Living's last-mile delivery process, aiming to establish it as a benchmark for global excellence.
  • Continuously refine transport strategies to optimise delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute King Living's Transport and Delivery strategy, aligning operations with company goals.
  • Ensure adherence to transport regulations, regularly updating processes to meet the latest standards.
  • Guarantee that CoR requirements are not only met but managed to the highest possible standards, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Lead the introduction of state-of-the-art delivery booking and routing systems, setting new industry standards for efficiency and reliability.
  • Organise and oversee comprehensive training and accreditation programs for drivers, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with transportation partners to ensure King Living's service quality meets or exceeds industry benchmarks, particularly focusing on improving our Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Monitor and manage transportation expenses, identifying and implementing measures to optimize routes, reduce costs, and boost overall operational efficiency.
  • Inspire and lead the team towards achieving excellence, ensuring each transaction delivers an exceptional customer experience.
  • Proactively identify any skill or resource gaps within the team and address them promptly to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for high-level customer issues, ensuring resolutions are swift, effective, and communicated clearly.


Qualifications / Experience

  • 2+ years' of experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated experience in last mile delivery
  • In depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain management including regulations and best practices.
  • Proactive mindset
  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues
  • Leverage data and analytics for decision making and process improvement
  • Customer centric with a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of drivers and logistics personnel
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Intermediate computer skills

This role is based at our support office in Turrella/Smithfield. We have free staff parking available.
