The Opportunity 
 
Join our Digital Solutions team at King Living as a Magento Developer, based in our Turrella office, Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of our exciting journey of global expansion. You'll develop, maintain, and enhance our existing e-commerce platform, delivering a seamless and dynamic online shopping experience to our customers around the globe. Your work will directly impact our success, integrating cutting-edge functionalities, optimising website performance, and implementing custom solutions tailored to our unique business needs. 
 

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance King Living’s Magento 2 e-commerce platform and associated web-based tools hosted in AWS, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of King Living. 
  • Collaborate with our product and delivery teams to resolve issues, build new features, and implement improvements. 
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to align on project objectives, timelines, and priorities. 
  • Implement custom extensions and modules to meet specific King Living’s requirements. 
  • Proactively ensure website performance optimisation, whilst implementing and maintaining security measures. 
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Magento 2. 
  • Stay informed of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Magento development to drive innovation and continuous improvement in the online presence of King Living.   

Qualifications/Experience 
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Magento development, with a preference for Magento 2.  
  • Demonstrate a solid background within a retail e-commerce environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of XML for configuring Magento 2. 
  • Proficient and comfortable working with JIRA for project management. 
  • Experience with multi-instance multi-website e-commerce environments catering to a global audience. 
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining RESTful API integrations for Magento, including middleware, payment gateways and shipping methods.  
  • Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code. 
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.  
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
